Latei - Amsterdam
See what you think...
Highly recommended cafe, serving wonderful coffee, fresh mint tea, sandwiches, and incredibly tempting cakes. The place is full of 70s bric-a-brac - the sky is full a menagerie of lights and lampshades, the walls covered with 7" records, books, and the best thing is that everything has a price tag - even down to a satchel and pair of high-heeled shoes hanging on some clothes pegs.
Recommendation - get a table upstairs on the cosy balcony, looking down on the cafe below and out into the street, nurse a mug of the fresh mint tea accompanied by a slice of cake, and just peoplewatch.

Harvest Moon
For the first time since 1991, the harvest moon coincided with the autumn equinox. What is a harvest moon, and why is it special?
A harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, which is when the sun sets due west and rises due east. And for the first time since 1991, these two events coincided in the small hours of Thursday, in the northern hemisphere.
The northern autumnal equinox officially began at about 0420 BST on 23 September. It will not fall at the same time as the harvest moon again until 2029.

Fashion Industry
The direct value of the UK fashion industry to the UK economy is nearly £21 billion according to a major new research study released recently.
On top of this, fashion’s wider contribution to the economy (known as the indirect, induced and ‘spillover’ effects) in influencing spending in other industries, ranging from IT to tourism, is calculated as more than £16 billion.
This means that, including direct, indirect, induced and ‘spill over’ effects, the fashion industry’s total contribution to the UK economy is estimated to stand at over £37 billion.

Wills-Moody Jumblesale neste domingo
